Performance Relatonal-Specific, Chiara Mu Versus Chiara Tommasi, Edieuropa – Qui Arte Contemporanea Gallery, Rome
In one room there was a tennis field: white lines on the floor, a net and a rhythmic sound of a hit ball, without players. You could sit on a bench and stay in the sound. In the other room there was a woman walking obsessively from one side to the other of the room, moving glass plates from one table to the other, banging them as she tried to catch the ball’s rhythm. Barefoot, looking at everyone very angrily, I might break something if someone challenges me.
A dialectic reflection on the concept of the “versus”, intended as ‘opposition’ but also as a model of relationships, where the subtle line between dialogue and conflict gets intentionally blurred.
